SHREVEPORT TIMES - March 22, 2010.
Having read Wednesday in The Times that Jeff Everson has thrown his hat into the ring for the City Council District B seat, I am optimistic for the future of Shreveport.
Jeff and his wife, Andrea, a young and energetic couple, have chosen to remain in Shreveport and become very involved in the everyday workings of the city. Jeff works as the compressed natural gas projects director for Shreveport's Ballengee Interests; and Andrea is the veterinarian at Robinson's Rescue Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic.
Now Jeff has chosen to go the extra mile toward representing the people of downtown, parts of Highland, South Highlands, Stoner Hill, Claiborne, and Caddo Heights neighborhoods. As he has stated, "District B is the heart of Shreveport, and it deserves a person who can represent its many diverse interests." He also said, "I offer a fresh voice."
Jeff's top priorities include keeping our city safe in which to raise a family, encouraging an already vibrant cultural scene and making City Hall more fiscally responsible.
